The Arc of Loudoun advocates for, educates, serves, and supports people with disabilities, their families, and the professionals who work with them. Through our five integrated programs, The Arc serves more than 5,000 of our neighbors each year who face disabilities of all kinds.

Disability impacts all of us.
1 in 4 adults in the US have some type of disability and 1 in 36 children in the US is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (source CDC). According to the 2022 American Community Survey, 30,373 (7.1%) Loudoun County residents have at least one type of disability. People with disabilities often face many hurdles as they attempt to live their lives as fully engaged, active members of society. The Arc of Loudoun works to support individuals and families navigating overwhelming experiences.

The Arc of Loudoun serves the most vulnerable and underserved in our region children and adults with disabilities, their families and professionals who support their potential.
Five (5) Integrated Programs
Our integrated programs challenge students and clients to achieve personal excellence and independence; deliver therapies to enhance movement, communication, daily living skills, and behavioral development, promoting greater independence and overall well-being; foster the essential skills that support academic achievement, social development, and overall health; and assure fair and equitable treatment of people with disabilities in their communities.
- Aurora K-12 School is a year-round K-12 Special Education Day school, accredited by VDOE and VAISEF, using applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and a student-teacher ratio of 1:1.
- Open Door Learning Center Preschool is an inclusive preschool that prepares children and their parents for kindergarten. Full-time, part-time, and after-school schedules available. ODLC is a Virginia childcare subsidy provider.
- Aurora Behavior Clinic provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, Occupational Therapy (OT), and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) for all ages, offering individual and group sessions and accepts many insurance carriers.
- Ability Fitness Center is a therapeutic fitness center providing access to innovative, customized, and activity-based interventions that increase functional ability for individuals with neurological disabilities.
- ALLY Advocacy Center provides free consultations, financial assistance, training and resources including: iCan Bike Camp and a region wide Disability Resource Fair, Wings for ALL, and Practice Traffic Stops.

As a member of The Arc of Virginia and The Arc of US as well close partners with The Arc of Northern Virginia we work to advocat ffor disability rights at the local, state, and national levels. Our goal is to secure the full range of human and civil rights for individuals with disabilities.
