Goal: $30,000.00
Specific Need
Morven Park, a 1,000-acre private park open to the public, is a place where you can connect with nature, history, and one another 365 days a year.
Each day brings something new to this magnificent property, whether it’s a couple taking engagement photos on the Davis Mansion steps, a school group being guided through a civics lesson by the Park’s educators, an equestrian enjoying a weekend of competition, or happy dogs guiding their humans to new smells!
Your support during Give Choose 2024 will have an impact on three critical areas:
The Pedestrian Entrance Walking Path: Heavy rains in January washed out a pedestrian bridge near the Gate House at Old Waterford Road. Temporary repairs were made to reopen the path to our daily walkers and runners, but unbudgeted permanent repairs will top $60,000.
The Morven Park Center for Civic Impact: Celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year, MPCCI reaches thousands of LCPS students annually with its FREE K–12 civics lessons. This curriculum is inspiring a new generation of active and engaged citizens and lifetime learners. Contributions will bolster outreach efforts and fund supply costs.
The Morven Park International Equestrian Center: As one of only six venues in the United States to host a CCI4*- L competition (an advanced level, for horses with some experience in international competition), along with a full calendar of events throughout the year, the Equestrian Center offers everyone—from Pony Clubbers to Olympic medalists—a chance to compete and learn. Support will fund ongoing projects aimed at improving the equestrian and spectator experience.
Morven Park, along with the resources it holds and the sense of community it promotes, is an integral part of Loudoun County. Your investment will ensure that the Park remains a place where memories are created by current and future generations. Thank you for your consideration.

Mission
As a private park open to the public, Morven Park is a place to connect with nature, history, and one another. Our mission is to preserve and protect Morven Park for all. We invite current and future generations to explore history, embrace civic engagement, and celebrate the outdoors.Profile
When this private park opened to the public in October of 1967, the mission was to preserve the open space and showcase the site’s historical and cultural value.
As open space in Northern Virginia disappears, Morven Park is an oasis of green for visitors who come to enjoy the flora and fauna that thrive here. Morven Park is open to the public seven days a week and has many family-friendly activities to enjoy. You can tour the historic Davis Mansion, walk through scenic gardens, picnic under the boughs of old oak trees, and hike beautiful nature trails.
Morven Park receives no local, state or federal funding. We rely on community donations to preserve this vital public resource. Your Give Choose support allows us to maintain the grounds, increase our outreach to the community, and share the property’s rich history.
