Specific Need
Your donation will allow Loudoun Coalition on Women and Girls (LCWAG) to continue providing impactful programs, such as Girl emPower. The Girl emPower Summit and pop-up events power and equip young women age 12 - 18 in Loudoun County with the skills, strategies, and resources needed to become strong and resilient women in tomorrow's world. Through the summit’s workshops as well as quarterly Pop-up gatherings, we will continue to empower girls to develop confidence, increase their leadership skills, in addition to skills on other focus areas including college preparedness, and mental health and wellness.
Your donation will help LCWAG offset the costs of hosting the GeP Summit and the Pop-Up gatherings, as well as other LCWAG programs, ensuring that we can continue providing this program free of charge to young women in Loudoun County. Eliminating the barrier of cost makes it possible for girls from every community to benefit from participating in this empowering leadership development experience. Additionally it will allow us expand outreach efforts with the goal of attracting new young ladies to get involved with GeP and attend our GeP Summit in September 2024. Any funds received in excess of GeP programming costs will be used towards other LCWAG programs at large.

Profile
LCWAG core programs and services are directly tied to our vision and values. LCWAG’s vision encompasses every Loudoun County woman and girl will have equitable opportunities to achieve personal and professional growth. Our values incorporate educating women, girls, and the community on impactful issues; collaborating with strategic partners to identify systemic gaps and eliminate barriers affecting women and girls; and empowering women and girls by creating equitable pathways to reach their full potential.
We have three core programs and services that include, Girl emPower (GeP), Employment/Entrepreneurship Program (EEP), Loudoun Women's Hall of Fame (HOF) and our Research & Impact (R&I) Hub.
LCWAG’s GeP is designed to empower and equip young women with the skills, strategies, and resources needed to become strong and resilient women in tomorrow's world.
LCWAG’s Employment/Entrepreneurship Program (EEP) is focused on assisting Loudoun women with becoming and or remaining independent and stable by providing skills, strategies, and resources to obtain financial stability for themselves and or families by obtaining better job opportunities.
LCWAG's Women Hall of Fame program is focused on preserving and amplifying the legacy of Loudoun's most extraordinary women and inspiring future generations of women and girls to greater achievement.
LCWAG’s Research & Impact (R&I) Hub develops and conducts community needs assessment surveys of women in Loudoun. The needs uncovered by the R&I Hub will allow LCWAG to continue enhancing our programs to focus on helping women and girls obtain the tools, skills, strategies, and resources to becoming and or remaining independent.
