Goal: $10,500.00
Specific Need
We have three urgent construction projects to complete: Project 1 is completing construction of our isolation building for new patients. This is nearly complete. We estimate $1000 to complete this project. Project 2 is building interior walls to partition our housing and treatment areas. This is estimated at $1500. Project 3 is new construction of an outdoor housing unit ("mew") for our raptor patients. This is estimated at $8000.Mission
Advancing raptor conservation and protection through rehabilitation, education, and research, with the goal of releasing native birds of prey back to their natural habitat, healthy and thriving.Profile
Loudoun Valley Raptor Center is an all-volunteer organization, and we rely 100% on donations and public support. We take no salaries. All donations go exclusively and directly to support our mission.
We are the only dedicated raptor rehabilitation center in Northern Virginia! When a raptor (also known as a bird of prey) is injured, orphaned, or sick, it is our goal to rescue them, rehabilitate them, and return them to the wild, healthy and thriving.
Additionally, we educate the public about raptors, their importance to the ecosystem, people's impact on them, and how each person can make a positive difference for them in their own way.
We function similar to a hospital, in that the birds in our care are patients, and as soon as they are able, our goal is to release them back to the wild. We do not offer tours or allow visitors inside our facilities.
Ongoing needs include food, medications, medical supplies, and veterinary costs.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, EIN# 82-1016488. Thank you for your consideration and support.
