Goal: $10,000.00
Specific Need
You can provide hope by ensuring everyone has enough to eat. Double your impact - with a gift from an anonymous donor, on 3/19 every $1 raised will help provide 8 meals for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier community members, like Jessican and her husband, Santos.
We recently met this lovely and grateful couple picking up food at Loudoun Hunger Relief, a partner pantry in Leesburg (also participating in the Give Choose campaign). Jessica shared that although she and Santos both work, their income isn’t enough to keep up with the high cost of living. “It’s very difficult, with three kids, [between the] baby, gas, rent, energy, everything. So that’s why I come here. It helps a lot for us.”
Your support means the Food Bank can continue to provide nourishing, healthy food to the 19 partner food pantries and food distribution sites operating in Loudoun and Northern Fauquier counties. Thank you for supporting our collaborative efforts to provide free groceries and end hunger.
In the last fiscal year, when food insecurity threatened so many households across the nation, the Food Bank provided food to over 6,000 households in Loudon and Northern Faquier on average each month (with more than half of those served youth under 18 or seniors over 60). This year, we are seeing a 30% increase in guest visits.
