Specific Need
The need for affordable meals is increasing beyond the homeless in our communities. People should not need to choose between buying food and paying rent. Our kitchen operates two programs to address this growing need.
Shelter Feeding Program - Under our Shelter feeding Program we have signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with Shelter House, Carpenter’s Shelter, and Apah. The residents of these organizations are the regular beneficiaries of our meals. We are donating more than 2,500 meals every month which has jumped to 6,000 since December 2023 owing to hypothermia.
Open Pantry Program - We offer an Open Pantry System stocked with essential groceries and nonperishables such as rice, sugar, oil, flour, variety of beans, cereal boxes, pasta, pasta sauce, chocolate milk, juice boxes, and soup boxes and many more items. We have more than 75 benificiary families visiting our kitchen twice a month.
Through our Pay What you Can initiative and being available on TOO GOOD TO GO we are enabling more neighbors to get meals with dignity.
Mission
Our mission is to provide healthy and economical food to all. Having access to affordable, freshly cooked food is a basic human right that many people do not have.Anna Sudha in Sanskrit signifies ‘spreading the nectar of love through food’. We believe food is the best way to unite people and promote love.
By our service to the community, we aim to exemplify our 3 founding principles: Cooking, Community and Charity. We sincerely believe in ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ - The world is our family.
Join our endeavor to move our world forward, one meal at a time.
