Goal: $5,000.00
Specific Need
This Is My Brave provides a supportive community and creative outlet for people to share their personal stories of living with - or loving someone with - mental illness and/or addiction. We do this in the following ways:
- On stage (live and virtual) through This Is My Brave – The Show, presented in cities across the U.S. and in Australia
- Off stage through virtual events such as Brave the Storm 5K in June, Teen Mental Health Month in August, and Jay Walkers Challenge for Suicide Prevention Awareness in September
- On screen through our 2019 mini-documentary and Our Turn to Talk (a full-length documentary focused on teen mental health), which will raise even greater awareness for mental illness and the work This Is My Brave does to bring attention to mental health issues
- Online through the hundreds of stories shared on our website and YouTube channel through video and the written word
In 2024, This Is My Brave will celebrate its 10 year anniversary!

The mission of This Is My Brave, Inc. is to empower individuals to put their names and faces on their personal stories of recovery from mental illness and addiction in order to break down stigma and offer hope!
