Specific Need
The GiveChoose campaign will have a profound and lasting impact on the Loudoun Community. On a single night, approximately 80 persons in Loudoun County are experiencing homelessness. In order to help individuals and families experiencing homelessness to move into safe, permanent housing, Shelter House provides financial assistance in the form of housing application fees, security deposits, rental assistance, utility assistance, moving costs, and other basic needs. This assistance is essential in ending homelessness in Loudoun County.
- $1,000 can provide rental assistance for a new family home
- $500 can pay monthly bills for a neighbor who is about to be homeless
- $250 can buy a family of four groceries for two weeks
- $100 can provide childcare for one week
