MLK Diversity-Engagement Foundation

Goal: $3,000.00

Specific Need

Additional individual and corporate funding it will expand its programs. This fundraiser will help them reflect their commitment to deepening and broadening its impact within the community. Please help them with the following programs:

  • Youth - Elder Panel Discussion we need to grow from an annual series to a quarterly series to expand and fund important intergenerational dialog.
  • Increase its Community Service scholarships to be perpetual with mentoring in number with continued engagement and scope with students. Every $2,000 in funds raised goes toward beyond one-year of support. $500 helps this charity support the recipients through college with four years of mentoring.
  • Extend its Children's Corner into a quarterly series of giving book from local authors and raise enthusiasm about reading and writing from Pre-K through middle-school. Every $10 dollars is a new book for a child. Please consider helping them give each student five books, with a $50 donation.
  • Expand its annual community march and celebration to provide speakers, entertainment, and transportation to the community celebration held annually within Loudoun. Additional funding will help purchase what is needed to provide a live hybrid offering and video on demand access series for the 34th annual program and beyond. (Every $100+ donation will be targeted for matching/challenge funds.)
